Ends on July 31, 2017

Airlie Press will be considering full-length poetry manuscripts for publication during our open reading period, June 1 through July 31, 2017.

Airlie Press is a nonprofit poetry collective based in and around Portland, Oregon. We seek manuscripts from Pacific Northwest poets who are willing and able to commit to a three-year term of doing the shared work of running a collective press. Most important editorial decisions are made by consensus.

Each member’s book is published in the second year of his or her term. Authors have the final say about the content and presentation of their books. All profits from the sale of books are returned to the collective.

All manuscripts will be judged anonymously. Please remove all identifying information from your manuscript.

 Guidelines:

1.      Manuscripts should be 48 to 90 pages of original poetry in English. No more than one poem should appear on a page.Translations are not eligible.

2.      Please be sure manuscript pages are numbered.

3.      Please include a table of contents.

4.      Please use a standard, easy-to-read font such as Times New Roman in twelve-point size.

5.      Poems included in the submission may have appeared previously in magazines or anthologies but may not have been previously published in a book-length collection of the author’s own work.

6.     We accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that you notify us and withdraw your manuscript from Submittable if it is accepted by another publisher.
